Sorry for the delay in answering your letter of March 5, but I just read it
again and found a connection to my Yeats/Yates. I am descended from George
Yates I
Through Samuels son Benjamin(wife unknown), His son was also a Samuel,
married to Phoebe
Bryan. Samuel and Phoebe's son , Zephania, was my gr.gr. grandfather
Zephania
Yeats who was born on Sept. 7, 1805 in Ohio and died October 20, 1887 in
Champaign
County, Il. He marriedMatilda Carr. Their son, James Knox Polk Yeats was my
maternal
great grandfather. He was married to Elizabeth E. Johnston, b. Dec. 08, 1851
in Owen County, Kentucky. My grandmother was Carrie ( Irene or Isadora)
Yeats
who was born Dec 6, 1872 in St. Joseph Illinois(Champaign Co.) She died
December 1956. Whew! If you will check you can
see where I got some of my info. He has a yeats/Yates website. I also havw
more
recent family info. Let me know if you want it.
