NOTES:
Richard Wilkinson (I) of Creenesmear, near Creeslough, Donegal was a
Church Warden
(Episcopal) of Clondehorkey Parish in 1773. No record of his birth,
marriage or death has yet been found. But he apparently was a brother of
the Anthony Wilkinson of Drimnatinny for Anthony's daughter Elizabeth
married her cousin Richard Wilkinson of Creeslough. Richard Wilkinson
(I) children known from old records and known relationships.

Richard was a church Warden of Clondehorkey Parish circa 1775 there
is a legend that Richard had as ancestor named Anthony Wilkinson who
lived at Coxhoe Hall in Durham Co., Northern England Per Latter (un
registered pedigree in the Genealogical Office, Dublin Castle):

Wilkinson who fought under Wm. III, and was granted lands of Creensmore

Anthony Wilkinson Granted land in Country down by William Of Orange.
Lost granted lands playing cards then went to Creenesmear (?) near
District of Blackberries. He was descended from a Richard Wilkinson or
Crossgate, Co Durham.
