Well, tuberculosis ia caused by a bacillus (bacteria) and it survives
particularly well in crowded human conditions.
I'd have to say that the above story about body changes to accommodate
sugar is rubbish. More like the use of sugar in diet made for more
humans in one place that then incubated tuberculosis because more of
them survived infancy.
