Hello Ladies,

The "Official Welcome for War Brides" in Ottawa on May 13th is
currently being planned by the War Museum. No one will need an
invitation to attend the War Bride event and the museum is free to
the public that day - Mother's Day. I am being asked for numbers
which are difficult to estimate. The "Official Welcome for War
Brides" will begin in the early afternoon. Time and details TBA by
the museum. I will post the information once I receive it.

Please spread the word because most war brides are not on-line. I
work alone and am overwhelmed by the incredible response. Although
the artwork is my priority, any spare time is devoted to
correspondence. So if you could let a few others who might be
interested know, I would be very grateful.

Please address all questions about the trains to VIA Rail or Peggy
Topple (902) 494-7919. Ron Jackson has made arrangements with the
Westin Hotel in Ottawa (noted previously) to have specially priced
rooms. War brides and families who are flying or driving to Ottawa
can also book at the Westin. Ron and Peggy have spearheaded this
initiative to bring war brides together for this War Bride event.
