I found a Martie Craig Wawroski arriving in San Francisco on 28 Sept 1944. She was born about 1914 in Hobart Tasmania, Australia and left Brisband on Sept 15.

This is an update on the information previously given:

Warbride Martie Craig (nee Paton) was born in Tasmania, Martie met and married her GI husband (27/06/1944), surname Wawroski, who was stationed in a mobile explosives unit in Australia. Martie sailed from Sydney to the USA - her daughter remembers her mother saying that the lights onboard the ship were turned off at times, for safety measures during the crossing.

Can someone put a year to this crossing?
