Shelley:
I believe there were two trips by the Scythia about that time. The one I
was on arrived about 1 March. The other may have arrived in late March.
Your sister could probably get her arrival date by contacting Canadian
Immigration. They will have her arrival date on her file. This will
particularly be easy for her to get if she has a Canadian passport as
that will have created a file for her. BTW, is your sister aware that in
addition to being a Canadian citizen (something there has been much
to-do about in the Canadian press over the last year) she is a British
citizen and eligible for a UK passport? (You may, too, if your father's
parents were born in the UK) I, personally, have passports from the UK,
Canada and the US (where I am a naturalized citizen). The UK passport is
particularly useful when I travel in Europe.
It would be interesting if your sister and I were shipmates -- perhaps
we were at the children's party together!
