Hi
I think that I have been there. We discussed this some time back and the
problem then (and now) was that I didn't know the grooms' name. I found
something somewhere that give the names of brides that went across. I took
details of all the (married surnames) and checked against the marriages and
none fitted. The list of brides was incomplete and so until her name
appears I am "stuck". It seems that the only way for me is the slow and
steady way of applying for marriage certs until I hit upon the right one.
But, I am going to 'phone my aunt tomorrow and see if she knows anything or
if she has someone that can look through her husband's papers. Perhaps that
will change everything.
Thanks. All the best for the New Year, David W
