All the best to all of you
The London & area warbrides may not officially be a group but this year has brought an amazing number together, renewing friendships and establishing new ones. Having not knowingly met a war bride until this spring, it has been a pleasure and an honour to meet so many of you from across Canada while making sure "my war brides" were included in Year of the War Bride events.

The legacy left by the Year of the War Bride will be these wonderful friendships along with the goodwill that has sprung up because of it. VIA and Pier 21 put the icing on the cake, but a special tribute goes out to Melynda Jarrett and Linda Granfield for their sustained and outstanding efforts on your behalf. They were the ones who got me "hooked".

I look forward to keeping in touch and seeing you if possible in Ottawa in May.
