If you go to the Ontario Genealogical Society website, there should be a
member contact for the Kingston/Waterloo Chapter(s) in that area that you
can contact that will be able to get you the full details of what's on the
gravestone. When I emailed for the info I needed, I got an answer right away
because that member had the book in her home - she happened to be the
chapter secretary at the time, but if you email the right person, they
should be able to get you the info without much delay. Then I got a hardcopy
in the mail later. I think they charged me something like $3-5 to look up
the info and mail it to me. The info includes a diagram of the cemetary with
the plot marked should you ever want to confirm it for yourself. Also, if
you go in person to a specific cemetery, they will have more info on file
than what is on the gravestone and if it's a genealogical inquiry they can
give you quite a bit of info. I think there's a certain number of years that
have to have passed in order for it to be considered genealogical research
and the privacy laws are less stringent for things that happened over 50 or
100 years ago.
I need to get back to working on the family tree. So many years have passed
and I've forgotten where I left off so I need to start digging again.
