I think a lot of people underestimated the impact of the War Brides.....even
these ladies themselves, they gave up one way of life for a new life with
their husbands in a new country, they set about raising families, they took
all as just a daily routine, never once thinking that they were doing
something fantastic! I for one am so proud and happy that the War Brides
exist, if they hadn't been part of this country I wouldn't be writing, my
husband is the son of a War Bride, and she left many a legacy!
