There have just been two messages saying more or less the same thing - 'why
am I receiving all these emails?'

You are receiving them because you subscribed YOURSELVES to the war bride
mailing list - nobody else added your name! Of course you will receive lots
of messages because that is what a mailing list is....somehow you read about
it, decided to subscribe and did so successfully - now you have to do the
same thing if you want to get off the list again. When you subscribed you
received a Welcome Message explaining how to unsubscribe.

In case you thought it wasn't important and didn't read it, this is what you
do. Send a message to with the one word
UNSUBSCRIBE in the body of the message. You need to spell it correctly or it
will not work. Please note that it is a self-service process, I don't have
time to do it for you, and it's no good writing to all the other subscribers
about it, which is what you just did!
