A 60th anniversary date for all the brides and children who came to America on the S.S. Argentina.
The Argentina was the First Official US Warbrides ship to leave England on Jan 26th 1946.
On Feb 4th 1946 the S.S. Argentina covered in ice was pushed into place at Pier 54 New York by army tugs.
We arrived a day late due to a storm at sea 3 days out from Southampton, England and a ice and snow storm closer to the US.
Congratulations to all the brides who are still with us.
