This made me smile, not only is it fitting that 2006 be declared the year of
the warbride, but the date of the news release. December 9 is my mother's
birthday. In 1946 she celebrated her 23 birthday onboard the Empire Brent
crossing the Atlantic to her new life in Canada. I think I still have a copy
of the captain's birthday greetings to her. Certainly a birthday she never
forgot.

To everyone on the list I wish you all a very happy and joyous holiday
season.
