As has been pointed, 1946 was the year that the greatest number of war
brides left their homes to come to Canada.
It is impossible to create a special year all the way back to 1942 - 44
etc. I think we should go with Melynda who has already done a lot of
work in trying to bring this special event about in the year 2006 which
will be the 60th Anniversary.
Obviously it will cover all war brides no matter what year they came.
Let's get behind her in this effort. I have already offered my help in
contacting an MLA - can you help also?
