Around the time WW2 ended a number of women living in the Cornish town of Bodmin who had been going out with American soldiers - including a number of women who had children by soldiers - were shipped out to an isolated village in one of the southern States.
The American soldiers involved were likely to have come from the 29th Infantry (The Blues and Greys) which is a southern based unit..
I am trying to locate the village and find out what happened to them. Does anyone in the group know anything about this village?
