As a war bride who arrived in Ottawa on Labour Day, 1946, I really enjoy the

Cheryl, it was heartening to see a US descendant reply to Joan in such a
positive way. I wracked my brains to write something similar, but didn't
want to give the impression that we US Brides lagged behind on such public
acknowledgements. Michele Does an absolutely WONDERFUL job of making our
stories available to all, but she cannot do it alone, she needs input from
all of us Brides and their descendants, wish more of us had computers. Maybe
we could gain more people from Debbie's list. Michele and Debbie work very
hard on our behalf, and hopefully we all appreciate them. Thanks Joan, and
thanks Cheryl for the chance to sort of express myself, we are a
disappearing breed, and Michele and Debbie are keeping us and our stories
alive for History. Love Joyce
