A Link In the War Brides Chain: By Brian Zelley
As [art of the Canadian Experience, I have added a link in the war
brides chain to a Nanaimo Information site.
Another thread that I have added is:
Nanaimo - war vets & casualties.
So, for the folks with connections to Vancouver Island,
and Greater Nanaimo you are welcome to visit
the forum by clicking the contact us.
Site is: http://www.nanaimoinformation.com
I think some of the younger members of the Nanaimo
site appreciate the odd history lesson through the
eyes of a war brides child.
And if you want to know some of the music that the
war brides and their children were listening to by the mid
Fifties, then a good place to start is Toms Zone about the
old juke box hits. How many remember the old Wurlitzers
while have a piece of pie such as Boston Cream Pie and a refreshing
beverage in the old cafe. Site is http://tomszone.com
or http://www.tomszone.com
Many of the War brides have departed, but the music of
the war brides' children continues in this
"never ending story" so rock on!
Be it old tunes like "The yellow Rose of Texas"
or "The Last Farewell".
