If the surname is Hitchon, then I have a contact which may help you. He is
the person who does the One name study for the Hitchon surname. Let me know
if you would like his name and contact info. There were indeed Hitchon's in
Belleville. I made contact with the Hitchon family after finding out that
the name child who died on the sailing my grandmother was on when she came
to Canada in 1919, was Hitchon. My grandmother was a war bride of the First
World War.
