I am driving over to Kelowna next week to see Bev's exhibit for myself. My daughter was in Kelowna for job related stuff and took a collegue with her when she went to have a look. Amazingly the other woman spotted me right away - apparently I haven't changed that much - there is just more of me - not to mention snow white hair. There are some restrictions on photos, but if anyone out there wants me to look for a particular picture I will happily do so.
I woke up this morning to a glorious late summer day, brilliant sunshine, clear blue sky, no wind and the lake all asparkle. Then as I had my first cup of tea I turned on the TV to see the horrendous devastation of Katrina, and all those poor people who are now homeless. What will it take to get the politicians to listen to the scientists and acknowledge global warming and the problems it is bringing with it?Joan Reichardt
