My war bride grandmother, Dorothy May McKenzie (nee: Knapp)originally from
Northhampton, married my grandfather in 1942, (who was stationed at
Aldershot and later CMHQ), and came to Toronto in spring 1946 on the
Aquitania.

She sadly passed away in 2004 after being a widow here in Canada since my
grandfather's untimely death in 1960.

By the time I became interested in her story as a warbride, she was too ill
to discuss details.

In addition to my grandfathers full Canadian Military file, I have a wedding
photograph (with the happy couple and another RCA chap leaning in-would love
to know who he might be!) which appears to have been taken at a registry
office rather than a church (my grandfather was not the religous type!). I
would love to find out where they married.

Does anyone know where I might find this information?
