Thank you Debbie for the wonderful information and for personally checking
this out the Archivist! Yes, I checked the GRO marriages indexes and there
is no record of this marriage. I also emailed the churches or their head
offices you mentioned with attachments of the wedding photos except for St.
Nicholas, Stoke. They all came up with a negative response. I'm delighted to try
St. Nicholas next plus I will further check the Unitarian church in Ward
Street with the Unitarian Church Archives. How wonderful to get some further
clues to check on. Thank you so much Debbie. Will let you know what I find at
St. Nicholas, Stoke.
