HI Michelle, Who is the author of this book? I see also that you showed us a
book on Australian WB's but no author was listed. It would be nice to know
who wrote it? Thanks!

FYI On Ebay

"We Came From Over the Sea - British War Brides in Newfoundland."

The book measures 5.5 x 8.5 inches and contains 132 pages plus a 24 page
frontispiece. It is brand new.

The book tells the story of 76 British war brides left their homes to
re-establish themselves in a new land. After six years of war, they came
with hope in their hearts and faith in the men they had married. Love --
freely given -- or sometimes hard earned, was found in the families they
joined and in their [new] communities. But life for most of them would
change quite drastically. Imagine some leaving the metropolises of London,
Glasgow, Edinburgh, Belfast and other large cities to settle in tiny
Newfoundland villages with no running water, no roads, the list goes on.
Nevertheless the persevered and raised hearty Newfoundland children with a
proud background. Listen to the voices of these brave women, some now gone.
