In 1986 a Documentary entitled " G I brides " was on the PBS station and it was filmed in Cape May N. J. the commentary was by Maureen Lipman and the Theme was Country Western.
The opening scene was of the gang plank and the Warbrides boarding the Argentina in 1946 the rest of the film was of several of the brides stories in different states.
One of the brides husband became a Lawyer and ran for office of Mayor of Chicago. Another was a widow of a Lord and left a castle in Scotland. Another came from London to a coalmining camp in Pennsylvania.
Are there any brides who remember this film or were in it.?
Reading about the Canadian brides film brought this one to memory.
