When we tried to access the death indices for both Peggy and Robert RALSON,
we were told that they weren't available for public viewing. My daughter
actually went to the Ministry to no avail. We've looked through various
obits, but without a date of death it's difficult. We're hoping to avoid
the expensive business of submitting a claim for five-year period searches
under each name (birth, and whichever name she used at death-we were told
she was married, but a search under Ralston came up empty). Under current
regulations, only immediate next of kin can even request searches covering
the past 100 years and although we can and have searched on Peggy, under no
circumstances would the Ministry let us search for Robert (I believe he
died about 10 years before she did, but am going by an "I think" of my
husband's cousin).
Many thanks for the response - I wouldn't even have thought of looking at
Peggy Ralton, but might go through the available obits again!
Cheers
Karin
