My mother came in 1946. I have the notification card which was sent to my
father advising him that she would be coming on the Queen Mary and on what
date. I don't have the actual document near to hand at the moment, but it
did originate in Ottawa. The gist was that he had to confirm that the
address was correct and that this was still what he wanted. Over the next
couple of weeks, I will locate the card and transcribe the statements on it
if you like. The notification card was the size of a postcard.
