Hi, Melynda, I am not responding to this request for a French War Bride but
I did contact Luisa from BBC and she responded. I expect to speak with her
soon. I just got back from holidays in Portugal and the UK. There was a
special pre-D Day supplement with the Daily Mail newspaper which did not
please me. There were several inaccuracies and omissions - notably no
mention of the Canadian participation in the landings! Do you know how many
GI brides there were as I think the number they used was wrong - and no
mention of us at all! I plan to respond but want to make sure I have
correct information before I do. Joan
