Sorry I can't help in your search, I'd just like to clarify the origins
given in your post - the English counties Dorset & Hampshire are totally
separate & distinct. Hampshire was never known as Dorset,or vice versa, even
in the 40s! Perhaps Mary relocated over the county boundary?
