Hi! I am a war bride and came to Canada through Pier 21 at Halifax, on
August 1st 1944, during the war. I went to Wadena Sask. and when my husband
came home, a year later, ( he was in the RCMP) we were stationed in many
places in Manitoba. I, too, am a widow and will be 80 in December. I am in
good health, volunteer at the local nursing home, and occassionally go back
to work at my old job! I am blessed!! I now live in Richmond, British
Columbia, have my own home and life is good!
