Hello list
Recently you were helpful in telling me about people getting married in wartime UK and where they stayed.
Can you now help me with info on wedding cakes and receptions.? Did your family and friends share their ration book coupons to get extra sugar and butter etc. for the cake and/or wedding reception? If you got the cake from a baker did he ask for extra coupons? If you went to a reception in a hotel did you have to pay extra coupons for tea etc?
Your help and any strange stories would be appreciated.
