My dad's sister married a canadian soldier the 18 th of january 1946 and arrived in Toronto the 26 th that same year. We still got an article and photo that made the papers the day she arrived, telling 'Islington man greets bride'.
The story tells us Annie Mc.Kee, maiden name Hollaar, came all the way from Rotterdam to join her husband Kenneth Joseph Mc.Kee of Islington. Mr. Mc.Kee and his wive were married in Rotterdam in january 1946. He had at that time put in four years service in Italy, Belgium, Holland and Germany with the RCEME.
For a long time we are trying in many different ways to find our family in Canada.
I hope somebody who visits this site might give us a clue, or even better an address!!!
(Annie J. Mc.Kee-Hollaar, birthdate: 08-03-1926- NewYork, married: 18-01-1946-Rotterdam, to: Kenneth Joseph Mc.Kee, birthdate: 25-02-19.., arrived in Toronto 26-07-1946, last known address: 19 Graystone Gardens/Toronto 18/Ontario.)

Thanks, Jacqueline van Hoorn-Hollaar & Richard Hollaar
