Subject: [WARBRIDES] Thanks/Remembrances!

Tomorrow, as Remembrance/ Veteran's Day are recognized in many countries
of the world, let us give thanks to those young men and women from
far-flung corners of the globe who came to our aid during the black days
of WWII. Also, not to forget the magnificent input of the British
civilians and servicemen/women who served so valiantly. And not to
forget us - we did our bit too, didn't we? I was busy checking out
convoys being sent all over the world from the place where I worked in
London (when I wasn't practicing or dancing with a dance troupe in my
'spare' time) thast entertained the forces.
What were you (War Brides) doing during the war (besides falling in
love). What jobs did you have? What were your other activities. Where
did you go on dates etc?
It would be nice to hear some stories.
Let us think of each other tomorrow.
Love, Lorna May Alberta, Canada
PS I am still making enquiries about a possible reunion of all War
Brides on the Queen Mary . I will let you know how I get on.
