Subject: [WARBRIDES] Question about bring brides to the US
Date: Tue, 21 Mar 2000 17:03:32 -0600
Hi everyone,
I hope that the mailing list is growing since I started the WW2 War Brides site.
I have many wonderful stories sent to me. Thank you for sharing your stories.
I do have a question about the brides who married black service men. I had heard that they were not permitted to go to the US. This would not surprise me, knowing the race issue at that time. I'm just interested in knowing if this is true. Also does anyone know what happen to these marriage?
Michèle
