Hallo to all members
I am researching my great-grandfather, Wilhelm Giesebrecht
born Russia Poland 1867, emigrated 1890 and lived most of his life as a coal miner in Brownstown Boro, Pennsylvania USA. His wife was Marie Goertz, born about 1864, emigrated about 1896 and died 1917.
This has been a long, lonely and difficult search. I could really use a hand if anyone knows anything about the surname or dates.
Through queries made in Germany, my ancestors surname is found in the databases of Volhynia. I think I am in the right place, but if this is not the correct mailing list, I apologize sincerely.
