I have recently been emailed a digital photo of an old daguerreotype of an ancestor....he was born in 1782 and died in 1856. Needless to say, I am absolutely thrilled to receive this...but what facinates me even more is the time that this man was born (that's Rev. War times) to have a photograph of him. I'm curious what others have found, what's the earliest birthdate of the subject of a photo you own? I suspect this photo was taken in the early 1850's. The earliest photo I had until this was someone born in 1806. I look forward to any replies. Thank you and many blessings in 2007. Stephanie in Oregon
