I have no doubt that a lot of those photo's are from the 1920's , some are the late 1800's . Wish I could see a close up of the men's head and neck area . It would help a lot .

Subject: [VINTAGE-PHOTOS] 8x10 glass negatives- neeed cleaning

Hi,

I have put two sets of unidentified Detroit photos online.

One set is from researcher Agnes Kardel and the second is a set of glass
negatives (8x10).

I think the glass negative set is from a studio photographer's family album.
(Owner of Golden Set Studio??) The same houses are frequently photographed.
The same man is standing next to the car decorated with spring lilacs and
holding a basket with super sized Easter eggs.

The glass negatives need to be cleaned. I received them this weekend in a
box that was lined with paper dated Dec. 1977. You can see that someone-
long ago- wiped the glass side of the negative.
I scanned them emulsion side up and emulsion side down. With the glass side
on the scanner bed I got a better image.

Any thoughts on cleaning the glass negatives will be appreciated. I use to own b&w darkroom.
Wish I had it now to contact print the images.
