I'm about half-way thru putting the 1850/51 Davis County census on my
computer. When I read the "rules" at GenWeb, it said that it had to be
transcribed from an original record. I have a copy of the transcribed
record that was typed by the Utah Genealogical Society in 1937, which
wouldn't qualify. Since I don't have access to an original, but I do have
access to a transcribed copy, I figured that was better than nothing.

I plan to put it on my Davis County website. It would be great if I could
give it to GenWeb, but I guess that will have to wait for someone else.

I understand the reasons behind GenWeb's rules, but it is a bit difficult
for most of us to get a copy of the original census to work from --
especially if we want to do the work at our homes. Does anyone know of a
source where we can get these from?
