Marilyn, many thanks for your help.

This is my first attempt at researching a relative in America. Your prompt
input has made the experience a much better one. The 1920 extract doesn't
confirm I have the right person but its a start. I now need to find him in
1910 to check the age and first names given. I think I will now also try to
obtain his death certificate as I believe this will tell me about his place
of birth and parents?
