You might want to consult the Abstract indexes to Deeds for
this property to see exactly when your ancestor bought it
and when he sold (and names of all parties concerned)
you might even find a will filed with the deeds etc. Many
wills were filed in the local Land Record Office, not with
the Archives of Ontario so the Abstracts are a good place
to look if you haven't found one elsewhere.

Don't forget an Abstract is just what it says -- an
ABSTRACT of a full document! The AItoD is an INDEX of
ABSTRACTS of full documents - you consult the index first
then you get the full documents if any are of interest.

To learn about Abstract Indexes to Deeds, how to find them,
how
to use them and other details of land records in Ontario,

According to the Tremaine Map of Esquesing (1858) a Jas.
Anderson was on this land, Conc III, Lot 14 in that year.

The 1858 Tremaine Map for Nassagaweya shows john Anderson
on Conc V lots 23, 24, 29 and 31; also on Conc VII, lot 6

john Anderson is also on the 1853 Collectors Roll for
Nassagaweya Tp on Con V (as is George Anderson)

John Anderson is also found on a list of names of persons
who attended and contributed to the Support of Boston
Church (Presbyterian) in Esquestin 1835-1845

Have you checked the online Halton database?
