Would a researcher have access to Birth Records of: Rev. James
George D.D., Minister of the first Church in Scarborough, Ontario,
Canada at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Scarborough Township,
Bendale,
near Thomson Park?
I need a look up of a birth of Alexander Weir, born 1860-62 in
Scarborough Township to William Weir and Margaret Thomson married
in Moffat, Scotland in 1860...
William Weir died in 1864, and is buried in St. Andrew's Cemetery Scarb.
Ont.,
Alexander Weir age 20, is in Paisley, Scotland in 1882, married.
Margaret Thomson Weir has no death records in Scotland.
Did she die in Scarboro, Canada, was she buried in St. Andrew's
Cemetery, her husband's stone has no record of Margaret on it, or
Did she return to Scotland on the ship to Scotland, with her son
Alexander..
Where did Alexander disappear to after the birth of his son in 1883.
There is no death record for Alex. Weir in Scotland either.
Did Alex. return to Canada to homestead in the Prairie?
Alex.'s wife remarrys in 1888. Did Alex. die?
This is a real puzzle.
Perhaps someone would be kind enough to help.
Here's hoping.
Carol
