Peg,

I neglected to add to my last post that you might want to
check the online index to the 1871 census for ontario.

I just did and a search of ALDRICH turned up 11 hits. They
are in Perth, Northumberland, Elgin and Essex. Searching
back in those counties may provide results. Birth places
varied from Quebec, Ont. and US. You didn't give us any first
names so you'll have to go there and do your own searching
to see if any match.

A search of LAPP had 34 hits!
