One of the best ways to get a copy of an old telephone directory or city
directory might be to write to the nearest (large) library, and ask them to
photocopy the page you want, i.e. the name, or address (in the case of a
city directory) and which directory.

Send a self-addressed envelope large enough to put the photocopy in.
Also include a postal money order to cover the cost of photocopying, postage
and their time ($ 5.00). (Americans can send a US$ money order if you can't
get a Canadian$ one.)

I have used this method in the past with no problems.

Many libraries have web pages with e-mail addresses. You can always e-mail
to check to see if a library has the directory you are interested in.
