Ollie Donegan was my grandmother's sister. Her full name is Ollie Palestine Donegan. Her father was Thomas Jefferson Dunnagan (Donegan). He was a preacher. I did not know of Solomon being a preacher. I am at work and do not have my records with me. Ollie came from a family of 13 children. She was married twice. Her first husband was Solomon Spicer. She married her sister's husband after the sister died (Mac Web Grooms). Ollie is buried in Jane Jones Cemetery in Fairview TN. Not having my notes here I am doing this by memory I believe she was born in 1883 and died about 1970.

I believe Solomon was older than Ollie. I can check my records at home and let you know.

Laura

Message Board Post:

Searching for Solomon Spicer and Ollie Donegan. Solomon was a Baptist Preacher
and was rumored to owned a large part of Dickson County in the 1800's. I am not
sure how many children they had, but they did have a son named Joe Thomas Spicer
who was born on 10/16/1906 and died 01/17/1972. If possible, I would like to
find out both of their birthdates as well as dates of death and when they were
married. If any other children are found, I would like that information as well.
Thanks!
Dianne
