I need some help tracing William L. Baker and I hope someone can help
me.

William L. Baker was born in Dickson Co November 23, 1823. His father
was William Baker (nothing known of him) and Myra Peace Duke, daughter
of Robert Luke Duke and Charlotte Green Duke Duke (her maiden name was
Duke - therefore the 'double Duke"). Myra died Feb 18, 1824.

Does anyone know who raised William? Does anyone know where Myra Peace
Duke Baker is buried?

When Robert Luke Duke died January 31, 1845 (Dickson County) he left
land to "my grandson William L. Baker". Does anyone know where Robert
is buried? I gather he did not have a good relationship with his
son-in-law since he included thisin his will, "It is to be understood
that I have given to my daughter Miry P. G. Duke who intermarried with
William Baker her full part and portion of my estate and further will
that the same William Baker with who she intermarried is not to have any
more of my estate in any way whatsoever."

I found William L. Baker, who was a doctor, in Tom Green County, Tx in
1880. He was 54 and his wife was 34. The age difference, plus family
letters written in the 1860s, leads me to believe he was married
before. There is a hint that there may have been children.

Robert and Charlotte were my ancestors. Their son (brother to Myra
Peace Duke Baker) Green Wesley Duke, is my gr-gr-grandfather.

I am in the process of writing about my Dickson County Duke family and
would like to include information about Myra Peace Duke.

Can anyone help me with the above?.
