Several weeks ago I posted on this site about the Dickson County Heritage Book that we are going to have here in Dickson County. You will be able to participate with your family stories if you are a resident of the county, former resident of the county or your roots are in Dickson County. We now have the structure of the Heritage Book Committee together and there will be further press announcements to come. Walsworth Publishing Company will also be announcing a website that will be solely committed to the Dickson County Book. You may view more about Walsworth Publishing Co. at www.Ancestry.TV. Walsworth has just completed books in Coffee, Moore, Grundy and Lincoln Counties here in Tennessee and they are currently working on a county heritage book for Giles County. The response from people desiring to share and know more about their heritage is great. I just picked up my copy of the Lincoln County Book and it consist of 904 pages. The participation in that county was great. !
Their book weighs over eight pounds. This is the largest county heritage book that Walsworth has printed. We will be anticipating everyone's participation in the Dickson County Book. This will be an account of family history that you will be able to pass on to the future generations. There is a great history here in this county and it will be a chance for you to participate and tell how your family was involved in the early history of the county from 1803 to present.
