Another researcher on this site once posted that they had found information that the dividing lines between the Chickasaw and Cherokee lands were once the ridge that Slayden-Marion Road is now on. I can't remember who it was, Maybe Ira from this and the Houston County site????? I don't have any research that I've done on it myself but maybe if it was Ira and he's still out there he could help.

Just a suggestion go to the Tennessee State Archives: as Duck River was the Inidian Reservation in Dickson Co. and General James Randolph Robertson was the Indian Agent for this time era until 1818 when he died.

This wasn't the Cherokee Reservation as the Cherokees were more East of Dickson Co., you might also Check for Maps on the Cherokee Indian Nation in NC. as the Large Cherokee Reservation is still there just out of Pigeon Ford ( Dollywood or old Silver City)

The Daws Rolls and Guin Miller rolls apply to Dickson County and for the Life of me I cann't remember the Tribe that General Robertson Oversaw, but they moved them across the Tennessee River when Perry County was formed. (1820-1827)

Absalom Baker & Michael Leggit have permission to pass through the Cherokee
nation to Franklin County in Georgia. Jan 9 1803

Thomas Jones & Endimon Baker having charge of six large flat bottomed boats
laden with Salt & Iron have permission to pass down the River Tennessee River
on their way to the mouth of Cumberland River . . . 26 January 1803

I should have been a little more specific. They are river passes. I just
wanted to know if anyone could tell me, by the descriptions, WHERE they started
and WHERE they ended or if they were too generic to be specific. The one
for Absalom is pretty specific on where they were to END, however It doesn't
really tell me where they may have started.
The one for Endimon Baker gives ME no clue. I am after all a total land
lubber.

Thanks
