Faye: I thank you for the obit. Billy was a kinsman of mine. We are both descendants of Jeremiah Nesbitt. We grew up together on Yellow Creek and played and enjoyed each others company. I will miss not seeing him on my Yellow Creek visits.

WILLIAM J. NESBITT
Funeral services for William J. Nesbitt, 89, were held Wednesday, Oct.
5, 2005, at 2 p.m. from Wesley's Chapel United Methodist Church with
Rev. Roy West and Rev. George Adair officiating with interment in the
Adams-Nesbitt Cemetery in the Yellow Creek Community.
Mr. Nesbitt died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2005, at his home in the Yellow Creek
Community. He was a graduate of Dickson County High School, Tennessee
Tech University with a bachelor's degree in English, Peabody College for
teachers with a degree in Library science. He was staff librarian for
the Air Force. An avid historian he was the author of two history books
THE PRIMAL FAMILIES OF YELLOW CREEK VALLEY and WEST OF EDROM. He was a
United States Army veteran and a member of the Wesley's Chapel United
Methodist Church.
He was born April 5, 1916 in Memphis to the late Edgar J. and Mary B.
Warden Nesbitt.
Survivors include his sons: William Andrew "Andy" Nesbitt, wife, Vickie
of Port Charlotte, Fla.; Billy J. Nesbitt, wife, Tammy of Vanleer,
Tn.; daughters; Nancy N. Johnson, husband, Ray, of Elon College, N.C.;
Libby N. Davidson, husband, Trent of Incline Village, Nev.; sister,
Gloria Pursley, of Knoxville, Tn. ; six grand-children and three
great-grand-children.
He was preceded in death by wife, Lillis Nelson Nesbitt; sister,
Natalie Nesbitt Woodland; and parents, Edgar J. and Mary B. Nesbitt.
I am doing the obituary this way as I have had several request for it.
