MESSAGE: (#679) Black family
<http://www.tngenweb.org/dickson/webbbs/queries/index.cgi?rev=679>;
AUTHOR: Lenora Tatum

My gggrandfather was Aaron Black who was born 4 Apr 1826 in Dickson County. I
know nothing about his parents or his siblings except one brother, George
Washington Black. The 1830 census shows a Josiah Black who could possibly be
their father. Aaron named one of his sons Josiah. Aaron was involved in the
Mexican War as a teamster who hauled supplies for the troups out of New
Orleans and down into Mexico. This was in 1847/48. He later moved to Illinois
where married Bedie Ann Walker in Aug. 1849. He moved to Arkansas in the late
1870's. If anyone has any information on this family, I would appreciate
anything. Perhaps some of his siblings' descendants are still living in
Dickson County. Lenora Tatum
