Hi Mollie and Tony - I must have missed the "question for all" message. I do have Margaret Whitfield's address and phone number; however, it was her husband, John, who was the county historian. Sadly to say, John passed away several weeks ago and I am not sure Margaret is quite up to doing much.

John Whitfield was my mother's cousin and he was a wonderful person. He left a huge library of all types of history but expecially on the Civil War.

I have a copy of every publication ever done about Humphreys County (as far as I know). I am always happy to help anyone who had family there.

Humphreys County does have a very active Historical Society. I can put you in touch with the president if anyone is interested.
