Don't know if any of this will help -- I looked in the Dickson County
Marriage books (1817-1856 and 1857-1870) and did not find Mary Arizona
Tidwell (Stewart) to Frank Lampley. There is a marriage between Martha
Lampley and Wilson Tidwell -- 4 Feb 1860/12 Feb 1860.

Wife Mary...divided among Rebecca LAMPLEY, Francis TIDWELL'S heirs, John
TIDWELL, Mary Spencer's children (James, Daniel, and William)...son
James K. TIDWELL and Jacob LAMPLEY to be executors.

2. Page 296 PORTER SCHOOL
This was a school in operation very early in the county. The school
roster for 1839 and 1840 show the following were enrolled: John H.
PERRY, Benjamin HAYES, Mary TIDWELL, Wm. E. PENDERGRASS, Violet
DAVIDSON, E. SEARS, Silas TIDWELL, T.W. WHITE, Moses PARKER, Joshua
WHITE, Alf BROWN, Ely TIDWELL, Thomas MARTIN, Richard GARTON, Benjamin
WALKER, Mark GARTON, Solomon MARSH, William L. WALKER, B. TIDWELL,
Martha V. VAN, Ruffin PERRY, G. SULLIVAN, John B. CARR, William PARKER,
Jacob LAMPLEY, John McCASHIN, Martha Y. VANLANDINGHAM, John UNDERHILL,
and James UNDERHILL. School was taught by John PORTER.

From the "River Counties" I found the following Tidwell information

1. Page 153 A query from Mrs. J.D. Bolin in Texas:
"I am searching for descendants of the children of Uriah TIDWELL, born
1806 SC, and wife Elizabeth, born 1815 TN -- who were the parents of
Elizabeth? Where and when did she and Uriah marry? I believe her
maiden name may have been MORRIS. Were the parents of Uriah Frank and
Elizabth ____ TIDWELL? Uriah and Elizabeth and children were in
Marshall Co., AL by 1840, and through 1860. I believe they were in KY
by 1870, but where, what country? I believe they have descendants in
Tennessee. The children of Uriah and Elizabeth were all born in Alabama
and are as follows: Jordon F., Elizabeth, James, Samuel, Martha J.,
Thomas, Mary A., and Aleania."

2. Page 41 Maury County Bastardly Papers
State vs. John A. HOUGH; bond may by John A. HOUGH and David THOMAS on 7
June 1860. He was arrested on oath of Evaline TIDWELL, unmarried white
woman, that he is the father of her male bastard child of which she was
delivered 25 Jan 1860. She signed her name as Eva TIDWELL and Evalyna
TIDWELL. Receipts are enclosed for the child's support through August 1861.

Can anyone help me w. find the marriage license of Mary Arizona Tidwell
Stuart & Frank Lampley? I wrote the TN archives, to no avail. I assume that they
were married in either Dickson or Williamson Co., after July 1911 and before
Oct. 1912. She was living, widowed, in Dickson in 1900 but I have not located her
in 1910..still looking.
Any help would be appreciated!
