MRS. LEWIS' FUNERAL TO BE HELD IN MADISON
Wife of Tobacco Company Official Native of Dickson
Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Rose Lewis, 60, who died at her home in
Madison Friday morning following a several months' illness will be held at
10:30 o'clock Monday morning at the Madison Baptist Church, with the Rev.
Rufus W. Beckett officiating, assisted by the Rev. F.M. Dowell. Burial will
be at Spring Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Lewis, wife of William G. Lewis, vice-president of the Nashville branch
of the American Tobacco Company, was a native of Dickson County, the
daughter of the late Clint and Lynn Hatley Rose. She moved with the family
to Nashville when she was about 10 years old and was educated in the schools
of Davidson County.
She was a member of the Madison Baptist Church and until her ilssness was
active in work of the church, and in the charitable functions of the church
and the community.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Miss Dixie Lewis and Mrs. Howard Escue, of Madison; Mrs. W.T. Sanders and Mrs. Walter Wells of Nashville; William M. and Meriweather Lewis, of Madison, and four grandchildren
